Synopsis
Over forty years ago 'BB' set off with his landrover and early caravan to wander through the lanes and by-ways of Western England. From badger-watching to listening to nightingales, from the green forest of Savernake to the high cliffs of Gurnard's Head in Cornwall, through the woods of Dewlish in Dorset, the deep lanes and secret inlets of Devon, 'BB' with his wife and their little Pekinese travelled as the spirit took them. Naturalist first and foremost, 'BB' captures the scents and country scenes around him - butterflies, dog roses, humming-birds, hawk-moths, stonechats, great green grasshoppers and slow flying sand martins. These and so much more are recorded.
This copy has some wear around the edges of the dust jacket and to the edges of the book. There is some discolouration to the jacket and top of the page block. Foxing appears on the top of the page block and across the the inside and back of the dust jacket. There are also some very small dark brown marks across the title and credits on the dust jacket.
