Crime's Cream of the Crop

We've always found that the hot summer months are the pefect time to sink into a chilling crime book. There is an abundance of fantastic new crime fiction on the horizon, with enough variety to match any reader's taste. One book that we're especially excited about is Girls Who Lie by Eva Björg Ægisdóttir. Eva's first book, The Creak on the Stairs was our May PREM1ER book last year, and since then she has been shortlisted for the CWA John Creasy New Blood Dagger awared for best new writer. With some of Iceland's most prestigious crime writing awards under her belt as well, Eva has quickly become one of the names to watch in the genre. Girls Who Lie is a perfect blend of police procedural and psychological thriller, focused around the troubled past of a murdered missing mother. We really can't recommend this book enough - if you're looking for a reading holiday this summer, you can't go wrong with a trip to Eva's Iceland.
