First Monday has pulled out all the stops for its June 6th Event. Sponsored by Sainsbury’s Entertainment On demand, our June line-up features Peter James (author of the best-selling and multi-prize winning Roy Grace series), Sharon Bolton (CWA Dagger winning author of the brilliant Lacey Flint series and stunning new thriller Daisy in Chains), Chris Morgan Jones (former spy and author of the much-praised Ben Webster novels) and Mark Hardie (author of the superb debut novel: Burned and Broken). The evening will be chaired by James Kidd (Independent).
Tickets can be purchased at the bottom of this page, however please follow this link for more information on this event and the authors attending.*
A mix between a social evening and a festival-style panel, First Mondays offers the crime fiction community – whether readers, writers or industry professionals – a place to meet, enjoy each other’s company and hear about the latest and most intriguing crime fiction around.
First Mondays begin at 6.30pm on the first Monday of each month with a panel discussion chaired by, amongst others, Barry Forshaw (Brit Noir etc), Jake Kerridge (Daily Telegraph) and James Kidd (Independent). Upcoming authors include Sophie Hannah, Mark Billingham and Belinda Bauer, as well as a host of established and debut authors from all over the world. After the panels, the conversation spills over to The Peasant pub.
First Monday is grateful to City University’s Crime Thriller MA Programme and Goldsboro Books for their generous support in staging our events. The June event will be held in the College Building of City University on St John Street (close to Angel Tube station).
