A fine first edition of this limited-print short story, produced by the Colophon Press. In a red Murillo card cover. Only 207 copies were produced - this is one of the 175 Murillo card copies, signed and numbered by the author. A further 26 were lettered A-Z and bound in cloth, and 6 were numbered I-VI and distributed privately.

A conventional Englishman and his wife have long been casual friends with Damian, a feckless, chronically broke, thrice-married friend whose occasional visits lend their lives color. To their horror, their beloved and sensible daughter falls head over heels for the cad, and it is clear she will marry him. The price of enlivening their "stay-at-home smugness" suddenly seems awfully high.
