Mr. Noel Coward kept a daily diary throughout the entertainment tour he undertook in North Africa and the Middle East, from July to October 1943. With practically no deletions, and with the addition of a very few afterthoughts, it is published as he wrote it. The result is a most diverting and entertaining accound of all he did and saw from 'Gib' to Baghdad, enriched with countless impressions, cleverly sketched by a good-humoured pen, of the many personalities he met.
