John Masefield

John Edward Masefield was an English poet and writer, and Poet Laureate from 1930 until 1967. Among his best known works are the children's novels The Midnight Folk and The Box of Delights, and the poems The Everlasting Mercy and Sea-Fever.

Book Condition & Notes

A very good first edition, in the original binding. A previous owner's address has been embossed on the half-title page. There is some foxing to the first and last several pages. In a good unclipped dust jacket, with a strip missing from the top of the spine. Wear to the edges, and a small chip missing from the top front corner. There is a tear to the top rear corner, which has been repaired with tape. There is a dark stripe along the top of the back cover.
