Our mission is to provide signed hardback first edition books in our central London bookshop and online; ensuring an expert, knowledgeable team and carefully curated range are at the heart of our business, delivering the best book-buying experience for every customer.
Two friends and book collectors, David Headley and Daniel Gedeon, formed Goldsboro Books in 1999. Their reputation for spotting quality books early on, an expert eye on the future collectibles, along with enthusiasm and passion for bookselling excellence has grown with the business and Goldsboro Books has become a world-famous and much admired bookshop. Our global reputation grew in 2013 when we were the only bookshop in the World to have signed copies of The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith, who of course turned out to be none other than J.K.Rowling. At the time of publication we did not know the true identity of the author, we simply chose the book on its own merit.
The Goldsboro team has also grown and our booksellers love great books and are dedicated to discovering new titles that our customers wish to own. With our knowledge and expertise we have created the UK’s largest first edition Book of the Month Club which enables book lovers to start collecting books which we believe are both enjoyable to read and also books worth collecting for the future. Each Book of the Month club member receives a carefully chosen title each month; one which we hope will be loved by its reader, and may even greatly appreciate in its value. Our book club is open to anyone in the world and is perfect for those who want others to take the pain out of your future investments.
